Themelio Suites Plaka is a mix of stylish accommodation, history narration and cultural heritage all in one staying experience. The 19th century neoclassical building, which was fully restored, offers 3 luxurious suites, ideally located in the most historic spot of Athens, the exclusive neighbourhood of Plaka.

Being build at the foot of Acropolis, the building has some unique features, including an ancient irrigation pit, these were incorporated and featured in the overall architecture when it was restored. It is right under Acropolis, at the “Cave of Acropolis “, a short walk from Syntagma Square, Ermou street and Monastiraki.

The square is presided over by the Hellenic Parliament, an imposing building erected between 1836 and 1842 as the Royal Palace for the first king of Greece, King Otto.

The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. During ancient times it was known also more properly as Cecropia, after the legendary serpent-man, Cecrops, the supposed first Athenian king.
